1. What Information Do We Collect?

We designed Friz to avoid collecting user data wherever possible. Our data collection practice is minimal and transparent:

• Personal Identifiable Information: We never collect, store, or process any personal information such as your name, email address, location, or contact details. Friz requires no account creation, so you never need to share personal information to use the app.
• Your Project Data: All your captured/imported photos, custom ruler measurements, calibrated reference objects, collections, and saved projects are stored exclusively on your local device. We do not transmit any of this data to our servers or any external systems.
• Optional Anonymous Diagnostic Data: If you voluntarily choose to send a crash report or product feedback to our team, we only receive non-identifiable diagnostic information (such as app version, device model, and error type) that never includes your project data or personal content. This is completely optional and never enabled without your explicit consent.

2. How Do We Use Information?

Since we do not collect your personal or project data, we never use your information for advertising, marketing, or any commercial purposes unrelated to the core functionality of Friz.

The only optional anonymous diagnostic data we may receive is used exclusively to fix bugs, improve app performance, and prioritize new features requested by the Friz community.

3. Data Storage & Security

Friz follows privacy-by-design principles to keep your data under your control:

• All sensitive user data remains on your device at all times, unless you explicitly choose to export or share it outside of Friz yourself.
• We follow industry-standard best practices in app development to prevent unauthorized access to any app components, and we never embed hidden tracking or data collection code in Friz.
• Security of your data ultimately depends on your own device security. We recommend keeping your device operating system and Friz app updated to the latest version to maintain optimal security.

4. Third Party Services

Friz only requests system-level permissions that are required for core functionality, all controlled by your device's operating system:

• Camera access: Only used when you choose to capture a new photo directly in Friz, never accessed without your permission.
• Photo library access: Only used to import existing images and save your finished exports to your library, never accessed for any other purpose.

We do not integrate any third-party advertising, analytics, or tracking SDKs that collect user data. All core functionality of Friz works without third party data sharing.

5. Your Rights & Control Over Your Data

Because all your data is stored locally on your device, you have full control over your information at all times:

• You can permanently delete all your Friz project data at any time simply by deleting the Friz app from your device. Since we hold no copy of your data on external servers, no additional deletion request to our team is required.
• You can revoke camera or photo library permissions at any time through your device's settings, with no impact on core functionality other than the specific feature that requires that permission.

6. Changes To This Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy periodically to reflect changes to Friz features or operational requirements. When we update the policy, we will adjust the effective date at the top of this page and post the updated version here. We encourage you to review this policy occasionally for any changes.
